My Story

Born and raised in a small town in France, you would believe baking and cooking were family traits. Ironically, Chef Remy’s love for baking and cooking did not come from his family. Though he loved the culinary family traditions that inspire his craft today, his culinary journey began at the age of 8 during a bread-making workshop. The 2 bakers teaching that same workshop would soon become his boss and mentor at his first job working in a bakery, where he began his culinary journey.

 

He started his culinary career working at a local bakery in his hometown while getting his degree in bread making and pastries. From there, he realized his great passion for culinary concoctions. The joy it brought him to being creative and bringing a culinary experience to his family and friends.  

After 7 years of perfecting his craft and skillset in school, Chef Remy participated in and won the well-renowned and prestigious French competition known as Meilleurs Apprentis de France (Best Young Baker in France) in 2011. 

This prestigious title offered him numerous opportunities that would take him away from France. He furthered his knowledge by deciding to move overseas for a new experience: culinarily and culturally speaking. He moved to NYC to work for world-renowned baking extraordinaire: Maison Kayser and Laduree.

 

Chef Remy has had the privilege to work with and learn from some of the best bakers in the world. Through his travels and love of different cultures and culinary experience, Chef Remy brings a fun blend and mix to the flavors and ingredients he uses. His passion has always been to instill his knowledge in future generations of bakers as well as in those wanting to learn.   

Now in Irvine, Chef Remy is excited to serve his local community with his delicious, handcrafted delicacies.
